Sandymount Village Ideas
Enabling Sandymount Achieve its Full Potential
This Village Ideas project is spearheaded by SAMRA – the Sandymount and Merrion Residents' Association. It sets out a series of exciting and practical projects to unlock the village’s enormous, untapped potential.
Combined, the 12 key projects, along with the Small Moves, Big Impact initiatives, could significantly enhance the quality of village experiences for local residents, businesses, and visitors. They will create many more opportunities for people to safely dwell and enjoy the unique community atmosphere, facilities, heritage and biodiversity.

WE WANT TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK
What is presented on this website is a series of ideas. While they are the result of detailed research and world-class expert input, they are not cast in stone. Their purpose is to act as a focal point for detailed conversations with the many key stakeholders (local residents and businesses, public representatives, Dublin City Council, and the relevant agencies) with a view to moving from ideas to reality without unnecessary delay. Please share your views.
SAMRA is very grateful to Dublin Waste to Energy Community Gain Liaison Committee for funding the Village Ideas Project, to Grafton Architects for the commitment, enthusiasm, expertise and professionalism of its team in developing the Village Ideas, The Sandymount Tidy Towns Community Association and Dublin City Council for its encouragement and support in progressing these ideas. Samra also greatly appreciates the support of local Councillors and public representatives.
