Volunteer Recognition

There is an army of volunteers at work in the Sandymount area tirelessly committed to enhancing the community and quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors. 

Due to the nature of this work the organisation’s that work together and co-ordinate the work of their volunteer they are not widely known and do not get the recognition they deserve. These include for example SAMRA, STTCA and the Sandymount Community Centre.

It is proposed that a permanent display sign / unit for erected in or around Sandymount Green which could highlight the various organisations and their activities. 

It would add greatly to the sense of community that exists, and it would be a valuable contact point for people who may wish to participate or wish to available of the services available.
