Promenade Parking
Promenade Parking
CONNECTING WITH NATURE
The existing parking along the Strand Promenade provides useful public parking for access to the beach. The proposal involves the re-wilding of the promenade at areas close to the parking areas thus providing an opportunity for increased biodiversity and a more varied landscape, while at the same time maintaining the existing parking provision.

The Strand Promenade has three zones of parking which are accessed from Strand Road. It is proposed to retain this parking, while increasing the biodiversity with a re-wilding of the grass areas around the parking zones.
The Redevelopment of the Martello Tower as a public destination could reinforce the axis from St. John’s church as highlighted in the aerial view above
